We use a number of latest image-editing and soft-proofing tools. Layout, assembly work and image manipulations are done on G4 Power Macs. If required, digital colour proofs are prepared and sent for client approval. The Brisque workflow system automates various operations and processes in the pre-press phase including ripping, trapping, imposition, screening and output. A wide range of high-quality screens are also available, including the traditional AM and high-definition FM screening. FM screening combines the benefits of stochastic and conventional screening and produces high fidelity images that exhibit fine details without halftone rosettes, screening moiré, grey level limitations and abrupt jumps in tone.
Rakesh Press has introduced the cutting-edge CTP (Computer to Plate) system in which the image stored in a digital file is directly recorded onto a printing plate with precision and predictability. The zero-error electronic pre-press process ensures perfect registration and sharp screens when actual printing is in progress. We have installed a Creo CTP system with high-definition FM screening facility. The electronic output device can handle plate sizes up to 28"x40" and ensures best-quality imaging. The new CTP system streamlines and speeds up production, reduces costs and adds valuable production flexibility. In addition, the key features of our latest-generation FM screening facility include reproduction of fine details, high smoothness, smooth vignettes and high process and colour stability.
We use a Gretag Macbeth SpectroEye Densitometer for specific quality checks that reduce waste and machine stoppage. All functions can be controlled with the SpectroEye - density, trapping, dot gain and much more. SpectroEye is capable of every type of colour matching and even special colours can be fully analyzed at a densitometric level, in a single measurement. Colorimetric and densitometric functions, as well as colour difference equations, amply assist in all phases of preparation, production and inspection.
